Alice Mae Ford (nee Smith), age 86, of Wellington passed away on July 27, 2007 at Southwest Hospice in Strongsville after a short illness. She was born in Fayette City, PA on January 3, 1921 to the late Thomas and Emma (nee Waddington) Smith. Mrs. Ford graduated from Fayette City High School in 1939. She lived in Cleveland for many years. Mrs. Ford worked in sales in PA and in Cleveland. She enjoyed her family, baking, and auctions. Survivors include her son, Thomas (Kathy) Ford; a daughter-in-law Mary Anne Sebak; six grandchildren Christa and Emily Ford, Matthew (Beth) Ford, Andrew (Angelica) Ford, Melissa (Craig) Foor, and Amanda (Dan) Ripplinger; four great grandchildren, Anthony and Owen Ripplinger, and Allie and Austin Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ford on February 9, 2007 after 62 years of marriage, her brother, Edward (Phyllis) Smith, and her son Charles Ford. A private service will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society, 43049 North Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44305.
