Alice 'Bernie' Fuller, age 88, of North Canton, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Windsor Medical Center, North Canton, Ohio. She was born March 20, 1920 in Nelsonville, Ohio, daughter of the late Matt and Cecil Adkins. She was a 1938 graduate of Nelsonville High School. Bernie moved to Sandusky, Ohio after high school . She married and lived in Cleveland for several years. After retirement she lived in Florida until moving to Canton in 2001. She was a homemaker, an avid golfer, and member of several country clubs.
She is survived by her son, James L. (Dona) Fuller of Sandpoint, Idaho; her daughter, Joan F. (Lamont) Bentley of Canton; 4 grandsons, Christopher Fuller of Bellingham, Washington, Calvin Fuller of Sandpoint, Idaho, Austin Bentley of Columbus, Ohio and Nicholas Bentley of Sandpoint, Id.; 1 great grandson, Landon James Fuller of Sandpoint, Id.; her sister, Carole Sue Gurbach of Arizona; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Judson Fuller in 2006, 2 brothers, Charles and
May Adkins; 2 sisters, Wilma Standish and Erma Hoffman.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 until the time of service at 3:00 p.m., at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London, with Pastor Tom Matus officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London. Memorials if desired may be given to the American Heart Association, Great Rivers Affiliate, 5455 North High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214.
