Alice A Gerstenberger, 84, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2019 at Gaymont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwalk. She was born on November 8, 1934 in Norwalk, to the late John and Mary (Green) Nestor.

Alice was a hard-working farm girl who cherished her family. She attended New London High School and was a housekeeper for Firelands Hospital. She was very social, loved her dogs and enjoyed going to church. Alice had attended Mt Harvest Church of God in Milan, and most recently The Chapel, Norwalk Campus. While at Bennett Pointe and Gaymont, she seldom missed any activities, and was a friend to many.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" (Sherrie) Gerstenberger and daughter, Paula (Jeffrey) Deeble; sisters, Donna Coe and Lois Breitigan; grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, Mitchul, Brandon and Cody; numerous great grandchildren and multiple great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gerstenberger; daughter, Susan Tovo; siblings, Marcella, Mary, Margie and Louise and special nephew, James "Jimmy.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the noon service at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home at 98 W Main St, Norwalk, OH 44857. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery next to her husband Paul. Memorial donations may be directed to The Chapel, Norwalk Campus, 156 S Norwalk Rd W, Norwalk, OH 44857.
