Allen Duane Mason, 72, of Wellington died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the Elms.  A son of the late Lee and Eleanor (Marmie) Mason, Allen was born in Wellington on May 24, 1952.  He joined the United States Army at age 17 and proudly served his country in Vietnam.

Allen worked at the Wellington Foundry, Whirlaway and Shiloh Industries in Wellington. He was a member of the Wellington American Legion and the VFW. Allen greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Dana Vance and Jeffrey (Shamica) Mason; grandchildren, Brandon Bess, Alexandria Hayes, Sabrina Mason, Robert Parsons, Elizabeth Vance, and Olivia Vance; and his brother, Robert "Bobby" Mason. In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Mason.
