Obituary

Andrew Mucha, 75, of Huntington Township, died Monday, April 29, 2013 of a heart related illness. Born in Humberstone, Ontario Canada on April 5, 1938, he was a son of the late Andrew Mucha and Suzanne (nee Zudel) Mucha. Andrew came to Lorain, Ohio, in 1948 where he lived most of his life before moving to Huntington Township in 2004. Andrew served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963 and later worked for Lectroetch in Sheffield Village. He became a naturalized American citizen in 1963. Andrew was very creative and loved beautifying homes and landscapes. He also greatly enjoyed HO scale model railroading and was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Gladys (nee Manbeck), formerly Mardis, his sister Mary Murphy, and several nieces and nephews including Dale Kuehn, who was like a son to him and with whom he lived for 13 years. He is also survived by step-children Ronald (Becky) Mardis of Collins, Ohio, and Chris (Julie) Mardis, of Lake Tapps, Washington, as well as step-grandchildren Jeanine and Reggie. Along with his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by sisters Helen Kuehn, Irene Pasternak, Suzette Wright, and brother Johnny Mucha. Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St. Wellington, from 4 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Cal Culpepper officiating. The Mucha family requests that donations be directed in Andrew's name to the Philadelphia Church of God, P.O. Box 3700, Edmond, OK 73083.
