IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Andrew
Wossilek
February 4, 1924 – March 3, 2024
Andrew Wossilek, 100, was born to the late Thomas and Anna Wossilek on "2/4/24," in Monongahela, PA. The Lord called him home on March 3, 2024, at Ames Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Westlake.
Andrew proudly served as a Sergeant, in the United States Marine Corps serving during WWII. He retired from Ridge Tool in Elyria as a Tool Designer/Engineer.
Surviving him are his three children: Gary, Michael, and Christine (Jim) Schneider, of Elyria; his brother, Joseph, of Alabama; along with many nieces and nephews, and great faithful friends that were there when needed. He was preceded in death by his brothers, George (Evelyn), Charlie (Mary), and Metro.
Throughout his life he loved the outdoors and was involved in many sports. He excelled in bowling (Hall of Fame), golfing, horseshoe pitching and ice skating. He loved to fish and go deer hunting every fall and winter. Andy so did love to play his harmonic and banjo. He couldn't get enough of sweet corn and Lake Erie yellow perch. A dedicated fan of the Wellington Dukes, he and his friend never missed a game if they could help it, both football and basketball. He attended and was an active member of the United Church of Huntington
