Angela Marie McClelland, 44, of Mims, Florida and formerly of New London, passed away on January 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 24, 1981, in Norwalk, she was the daughter of Vanessa (nee Clark) VonBehren and the late Gary Botos. Angela was a 1999 graduate of New London High School and EHOVE Career Center. Following graduation, she moved to Florida where she made her home.
Angie went on to graduate from, and then continued to teach at, the Americare School of Nursing as a dental assistant. She later worked for E&H Car Crushing as well as working along side her family at McClelland Trucking. Angela was a creative and talented crafter which led to her starting her own business, Addie Marie Boutique, where she made numerous custom and hand crafted items. She enjoyed traveling to craft shows and connecting with her customers. When she wasn’t crafting, Angela enjoyed fishing, but only in the salt water, and spending time with her dogs. Most of all Angela cherished time spent with her beloved family.
On April 10, 2019, Angela received the gift of life when she received a kidney transplant, a gift she and her family were so grateful for. And it was with the spirit of a fighter and a joy and hopefulness that refused to give up that she faced her 2023 diagnosis of breast cancer. Through these setbacks she persisted as a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, and always with a sense of love and gratefulness. Even in her own struggles, Angela was a devoted supporter of others. She would do everything in her power to help anyone she could.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 21 years, Allen McClelland, Jr.; daughters, Alona Riley Marie McClelland and Adalyn Paige McClelland; her mother, Vanessa Clark (Steve) VonBehren; sisters, Ashley (Josh) Bonderer and Inez (Chris) Bitters; and mother and father-in-law, Allen and Bobbie Ann McClelland. Angela was preceded in death by her grandfather, Albert “Smiley” Clark and her father, Gary Botos.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Expressions of sympathy and fond memories may be shared online at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
