ANGELINA FARAGO BRINKER
Angelina Farago Brinker passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Angie was born on June 15, 1935. She was the fourth daughter of Caroline and Bendetto Farago in Wellington, Ohio. Angie lived her entire life in Wellington and was 1953 graduate of Wellington. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church.
Angie was a member of GAA in school and excelled in basketball. Her siblings all say that she was the best female athlete in the family.
Angie's first and favorite job was at the Lonet Theatre as a candy counter girl, where she could watch the movies for free. Her senior year, she went to school half day and then went to work for Leola Sigler at the Wellington Service Bureau. She was secretary for Attorney Harry Wagner and Dr. Stone. She was also bookkeeper at Armco Steel and Hoff & Company. Angie worked at Village Market in Wellington until her retirement at age 78. She was a meticulous bookkeeper and everything balanced to the penny at all her jobs.
She volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother, PSR teacher, and Wellington Athletic Boosters Bingo secretary. She was also proud to be a charter member of Wellington's Democratic Womens Club.
Angie was the proud mother of her 4 children. She was an avid sports lover, especially her beloved Cleveland Indians.
All of her children's cousins and friends will remember the cans of potato chips while at the Brinker house, where all were welcomed.
Survivors are Daniel (Laurie) Brinker of Girard, Anne Linden of Wellington, John (Angie) Brinker of Vermilion and Jodi Brinker of Elyria.
Angie was loved by her grandchildren, Jessica (Doug)Foster of Girard, Cassandra (Derrick) Ault of Wellington, Martin (Alexis) Brinker of Westerville, Charles Cory Linden of Wellington and Jeremy (Callie) Brinker of Roanoke, Virginia. Angie's great-grandchildren were the light of her life, Isabella, Gianna, Madalina and Luka Ault.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Theresa Senghas, Mary Baker, Beatrice Bowman and brothers, William and Carl Farago and son-in-law Charles Linden.
Angie leaves her siblings, Tony Farago, Rose Barrett, Joe (Karen) Farago, Josie (Butch) Boone, Helen Dronsfield and Jim Farago and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, May 12 from 4-7 p.m.at the Old St Patrick's Church, 512 North Main St., Wellington. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Trask will officiate and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Caroline Farago Scholarship Fund in Angie's memory, 258 N. Main St., Wellington, Ohio 44090.
