Anita L. Hale, age 61, of Greenwich died Monday evening, May 5, 2008 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk after a sudden illness. She was born April 11, 1947 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Oran L. and Julia Ann (Harris) Cogar, and lived in the Greenwich area since the mid 1960's. Anita was a 1965 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School. After high school she attended the Business College, Mansfield in the late 1980's. She had been employed by the C.E. Ward Co. of New London, the Mansfield Reformatory in the parole office, and then Kent Sporting Goods in New London. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bruce; a daughter, Tammy (Martin) Clouse of Norwalk, Ohio; 3 step children; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 sisters, Alison Zeigler of Willard, Ohio, Karon Myers of Charleston, West Virginia, and 1 niece. She is preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich, where funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday. Pastor Delmer Bailey will officiate and burial will follow in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
