Anna Churpek, 86, of Wellington, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 under the care of Hospice of Medina County. She was born on July 13, 1936 in Cleveland to the late Mary and John Scherpbick.

For many years, Anna worked as a Deli Manager for retail grocery stores in the area. She attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in her younger years. Anna enjoyed traveling and vacationing. Some of her favorite times were spent camping, especially at her camper at Pleasant Hill Park looking out at the lake.

She leaves behind her son, Anthony (Janice) Strojin; 8 grandchildren, Johanna, Laura, Jessica, Amy, Peter, Megan, Kaitlin and Tony; 5 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnne Tisler and her husband, Richard.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 10 am until the 10:45 prayer service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
