Anna Mirth, 96, of New London, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Elms Retirement Village. Anna was born on August 3, 1913 to the late John and Anna (nee Kogolman) Deutsch in Cleveland and grew up in the Cleveland area. In 1931, she graduated from West Tech High School.
Anna was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and the Women's Guild. She was a wonderful cook, an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting and sewing.
Survivors include her children, Frank Ronald (Joanne) Mirth of Valley City, Robert John (Nancy) Mirth of Brighton and Mary Ann (Neil) Chapin of Brighton; 7 grandchildren, Trisha, Tammy, Heidi, Mindy, Mariann, Darlene and Heather; and 7 great grandchildren, Jessica, Joey, Megan, Zach, Vincent, Sophie and Robert. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank; grandson, Bryan and her brothers, Albert and John.
Funeral services will be held Friday February 12 at 2 P.M. at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 231 E. Hamilton Street, Wellington with Reverend Dale Huelsman officiating. Burial will follow at Brighton Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington.
