Anna A. Noster, 91, a lifelong Penfield Township resident, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at The Elms Retirement Village after a lengthy illness. Anna was born on March 31, 1919 to the late John and Madiline (nee Vidacic) Ursanic.
Anna retired from Moen in Elyria after 22 years. She was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church. Anna enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid doll collector who enjoyed sewing many of her own outfits for dolls and making ceramic china dolls. She enjoyed crocheting as well and would enter items in the Lorain County Fair, winning several blue ribbons. Anna was also a talented musician who played piano and the Hawaiian Guitar and had played at the Wellington Opera House.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Noster of Penfield; sisters, Celia Noster, Jeannette Dumont, both of Elyria, Catherine Garcia, of New Mexico and a brother, Anthony Ursanic of Penfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1991.
Friends will be received Sunday, December 12, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 North Main, Wellington, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Monday the 13 from 10 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Father James Reymann officiating. Burial will follow at Penfield Cemetery.
