Obituary

Anna Eleanor Roosevelt Prater, 83, of Amherst, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. Eleanor was born on July 4, 1933 in Morgantown, WV to Pearl (nee Hunt ) and Edgar Corley. She worked at Forest City Technologies for 31 years. Eleanor was an auxiliary member of the VFW, the American Legion, and AmVets in Wellington. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling. Eleanor loved bluegrass music and attended many bluegrass festivals. She is survived by her husband, Alvie; children, Sarah (Mike) Clem, Lora (Jim) Rollence, John Bosley, Tom Bosley, Billy Bosley; grandchildren, Austin (Amanda) Smith, Taylor Smith and Brianna Bosley; siblings, Gary Wayne Corley, Raymond Corley, Betty Corley, Judy Corley, Caroline Renor, Paul Corley, Robert Corley, Jerry Corley. Eleanor was preceded in death by her son, Mike Bosley; infant daughter, Brenda Sue Butler; twin brother, Franklin and her parents. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
