Annabelle L. Tanner, 96, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 22, 1928, at home in Temperance, Michigan, to the late Vance E. and Alma F. (Lamprecht) Myers.
Annabelle was an extremely hard worker, retiring after many faithful years of service to the former Fanny Farmer Candy Company. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Norwalk as well as the V.F.W. Auxiliary #2743, Eagles Auxiliary #711, and Moose Auxiliary.
Annabelle was a remarkable person who enjoyed reading, flower gardening, golf, camping, playing Bunko, and going to casinos.
She is survived by her children, Donald Tanner, Yvonne Claus, and Kathy (Rodney) West; grandchildren, Michelle (Don) Lyons, Lisa Burtscher, Michael Burtscher, Jodi (Nate) Sander, and Brian West; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Tanner, in 2006; son, Michael; son in-law, Clifford; daughter in-law, Mary Ann; brothers, Richard and Donald Myers; and sisters, Maryellen Davis and Violet Wagner.
A visitation for Annabelle will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, from 12 p.m. (noon) until the time of the 2 p.m. funeral service. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Norwalk. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Ave., Norwalk, OH 44857.
