Anne L. Walter, age 86, of New London, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at her home. She was born July 27, 1922 in New London, daughter of the late Charles Lewis and Hazel (McFarlin) Marsh. Anne had attended New London schools. She had lived in Vermilion and several locations on the west side of Cleveland before moving to New London in 2000. Anne had worked at the former McGarvey's Restaurant in Vermilion. She was an avid sports fan. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ralph Walter; 3 children, Tim Campbell and Jim Campbell both of Norwalk, Cindy Taylor of Florida; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Leah Stover and Shirley (Tom) McCoppin both of New London; her brother, Ted (Jane) Marsh of New London; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Bone and Norma Marsh, her infant sister, Lois Marsh, her brothers, Leonard and Lewis Marsh. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London. Memorials if desired may be given to the donors favorite charity.
