Anthony R. 'Tony' Parlett, 62, of Greenwich, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born January 15, 1949, in Dayton and moved to the Greenwich area in 1955.
Tony worked at both Shelby and Willard Midwest Industries where he retired in 2011 after 42 years. He loved tractors and farming.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy, whom he married September 26, 1970; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tabetha Parlett of Greenwich; 3 grandchildren, Devon, Peyton and Ethan Parlett all of Greenwich; siblings, Jim Parlett of Mansfield, Mary Oney of Bellevue and Ora Parlett of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Parlett; parents, Ora and Margaret (Hayden) Parlett and siblings, John, Norman and Shirley Parlett.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 16 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich. Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Greenwich United Methodist Church, 18 East Main Street. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
