Anthony 'Tony' Pyanowski, age 73, of Nova, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at his home after a short illness. He was born January 31, 1935 in Elyria, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Najmoski) Pyanowski. Tony lived in Nova for most of his life. He attended the Ruggles Troy School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict where he was stationed in Germany. He worked construction and in 1972 he began working with Graphite Sales. He also farmed cattle and grain. Tony was one of those special people who could do anything, enjoyed helping people and never seemed to slow down.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Caldwell) Pyanowski, whom he married February 24, 1961; his children, Vickie Lee (Jeff) Hickinbotham of Baltimore, Maryland, Anthony J. (Terrie) Pyanowski of Norwalk and Becky Sue (Anthony) Huff of Ashland; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brother, Clarence (Marjorie) Pyanowski of Nova and his sister, Dorothy Pyanowski of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stella Sourwine.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, Friday. Friends and family may also call from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington.
