Arlene Mary Lashley, age 94, of Wellington, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at New Life Hospice of St. Joseph's in Lorain.
Mrs. Lashley was born December 10, 1912 in Huntington Twp., daughter of the late Turner & Nellie West. She had lived her entire life in the Huntington Township and Wellington areas. She was a 1930 graduate of Wellington High School and had worked as a cook for the Wellington Schools. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Wellington. She was also an active member and past matron of the Sullivan Chapter #499 OES.
Arlene is survived by a son & daughter in law, Charles T. & Linda Lashley of Wellington; 2 grandchildren, Charlene and Kyle Lashley of Wellington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. In 1998 and a sister, Maxine Wells in 1999.
Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, with OEA services at 8:45 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 140 S. Main St., Wellington. Rev. Brian Burke will officiate and burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
