Arlene J. Roberts, 95, of Northfield, died Friday, October 17, 2025. Arlene made her arrival into the world on New Year's Day 1930 in Columbus; she was the daughter of the late William and Bernice (nee Prochaska) Bronstrup. Arlene grew up on the east side of Cleveland and graduated from East High.
Arlene worked as a book keeper for many years. Following the births of her children, Arlene devoted herself to her family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered as a Girl Scout leader. She loved nature, being outdoors, and caring for animals. Arlene also enjoyed singing, reading, and traveling.
She is survived by her children, William (Joan) Roberts, II, Dale (Shirley) Roberts, Bernice Roberts, George (Ronda) Roberts, and May Rose Roberts; four grandchildren: Tim, Grace, Keith, and Stephanie; and five great grandchildren: Arlyn, Mara, Jayden, Dylan, and Brinley; sisters, Lois Stallard, and Vera Hain; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, William, and brothers, Jim and Bobby Bronstrup.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 24 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH.
