Audrey Marie Higgins (Camp), 83, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday afternoon. She was born June 9, 1939, in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Wilfred and Felicia Camp (Sanger).

Audrey graduated from Norwalk St. Paul High School "Class of 1957" and worked as bookkeeper at the Citizen National Bank until she wed George Higgins on June 23, 1962. The couple established residence in Peru where they raised their two children. They spent the rest of their lives on the same property in Peru. They enjoyed traveling together to the various cemeteries and court houses of Ohio and Pennsylvania, retracing family genealogy along with George's siblings, Greg Higgins of Norwalk, and Joyce Reitzel (Higgins) of Lufkin, TX

Audrey also enjoyed animals, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother (Grammy).

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Higgins of Lexington; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Doug Cantley of Norwalk; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Guy Smith of Bellevue; grandchildren, Amy Higgins of Elyria, Andrew Higgins of Avon Lake, Lauren Schluchter, Holly Harris, and Heather Harris, all of Norwalk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George and sister, Barbara Fritz (Camp)

A graveside memorial service will be held at Hester Cemetery, 913 Ridge Road Norwalk, OH 44857 on Saturday, July 16th at 10:00 am. All friends and family are welcome. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
