Audrey Jean Lance

Audrey Jean Lance, 91, a life long resident of Wellington, died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at home with her family by her side. Born on April 5, 1935, in Wellington, she was the daughter of the late Elsworth William and Eva Jane (nee Dyke) Blakeley. Audrey was a 1953 graduate of Wellington High School. Following high school she continued her education, obtaining a bachelor’s degree.

Audrey worked in the law office of Russ Travalka in Wellington, and later the Shepherd Chevrolet dealership. In the early 80’s she and her husband opened Ernie’s Beverage Center. Most recently, Audrey was employed at Inservco in Lagrange working on circuit boards. Audrey also served on the Wellington School Board.

Survivors include her children, Michelle (Bruce) Johnson, of Green Valley, Arizona, and Marty (Jill) Lance, of Dublin, Ohio; granddaughters, Alicia Lance and Mara (Michael) Salvator; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, and siblings, Janet and Richard Blakeley.
