B. Howard Reynolds Jr., 73, of Wellington, died Thursday, March 26, 2015. He was born on March 23, 1942 in Berea to the late Basil Howard and Jennie (nee Rubel) Reynolds. Howard lived most of his early life in Columbia Station and was a 1960 graduate of Columbia High School and moved to Wellington in 2005. Howard worked as a banker for several years working his way from a teller to vice president. He went on to work for the Lorain County Commissioners as a supervisor. Howard was very active in his community serving with the Lorain County Office on Aging, the Sheriffs Aux., and the Columbia Volunteer Fire Dept. He also was a member of the Acme and Pamona Grange, and served as Master. Howard enjoyed hot air balloons and was instrumental in helping develop the Wellington Balloon Festival. He also loved to spend time in the winter months as one of Santa's Helpers. Howard is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years Cynthia (nee Sommers); son Basil Howard Reynolds III of Columbia Station; grandchildren Daniel (Erik) Hamilton, Brandon Reynolds, Samantha (Adam) Ray, Bailey (Josh) Kushner, and Jonah Smutak. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, March 29, 2015, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington, where services will be held on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Columbia TWP.
