B. Evelyn VanScoy, 94, of Greenwich, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. She was born July 18, 1915 in Troy Township to the late Oscar and Bertha Foster. Evelyn was a 1933 graduate of Nova High School and has lived in Greenwich since 1938. She was a member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church and several card clubs. Evelyn is survived by her three sons, Dennis (Sandy) VanScoy of Ashland, Randall (Catherine) VanScoy of Aurora and Clayton (Margaret) VanScoy of Butler, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Foster of Elyria and Larry (Mary) Foster of Nova and her sister-in-law, Kay VanScoy of Greenwich. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Frank VanScoy. Friends and family will be received on Monday, June 21 from 5-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with pastor Georgette Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenwich.
