Bama M. Shuman, 84, of New London, died Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Briarfield in Milan after an extended illness. Bama was born October 3, 1925 in Floyd County, Kentucky. She has been a resident of New London since 1952. Bama worked for the former C.E. Ward Co. of New London.
She is survived by children, Ruth Ann Hinojosa (Wes Braden) of Norwalk, Hazel M. O'Brien (Kenneth) of Marysville; 5 grandchildren, Lynn Jacobs, Terri Keckler, Jonathan O'Brien, Stephanie Salmons and Fredrick Benton Salmons IV; 7 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Richard of Harold, KY, Robie Kimbler of Ashland, George Kimbler of Norwalk and O. Clinton Kimbler of Belleville, MI. Bama was preceded by husband, Harry Shuman in 78, son, Charles K. 'Chuck' Shuman; parents, James 'Bob' & Susie (Collins) Kimbler; grandson, Kenny Shuman; and siblings, Robert Kimbler, Lillie Belle Boyd and Carlie Kimbler.
Friends may call Tuesday, June, 15 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 am
Burial will follow in the Fitchville Cemetery. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Heartland Hospice in care of the funeral home.
