Barbara Louise Bogan, 79, of Wellington and formerly of Milan, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at her home. A daughter of the late John and Eleanor (nee Christman) Peiffer, Barbara was born on October 28, 1935 in Bucyrus. In 1957, Barb graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. In the late 1960s she relocated to Milan. She retired from the Huron County Health Department as a prenatal and postnatal Nurse after 25 years of employment. Barbara was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. For many years Barbara coordinated entertainment for the Milan Melon Festival. She will be missed by her children, Roberta Louise Richardson, of New London, William (Amy) Bogan, of Wellington, Bernard (Lisa) Bogan, of Sandusky; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and sister, Karen Davis, of Norwalk. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George William Bogan. Friends and family will be received at Barbara's house, 314 N. Main St., Wellington for a 10:30 a.m. Funeral service on Thursday, July 16. Rev. Paul Wilson will officiate the service and burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
