Barbara Jane (Amsel) Marett, 75, passed away Friday, afternoon February 24, 2017 at her home after a long fought battle with cancer. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 9, 1941 to the late Emanuel and Phyllis Amsel. She was a 1960 graduate of Milan High School. Barbara was a long time resident of the Milan Norwalk area. She worked alongside her father at Amsel Shoes for 30 years. She was also a rental manager for Provident Management and worked part time at the Pizza Post. Barbara loved life, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She is survived by her sister Betty (Amsel) Cooley, of Westerville, Ohio, her brother David Amsel, of Sandusky, Ohio, by her daughter, Kimberly Walker (Marett) (Tony), by her sons, Mark Marett, (Linda Tolliver), Thomas Paramore(Patricia), 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her Husband, Glenn Marett Jr., by her parents, by her grandson, Joshua Paramore and by her son in law Tony Walker. Nana will be loved and missed but never forgotten.
