Barry C. Howk, 68, of Wellington, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Mercy Allen Hospital. Born on November 24, 1956, he was the son of the late Chester and Gracie Howk. Barry was a graduate of Wellington High School and lived most of his life in Wellington.

A bricklayer by trade, Barry retired from Wasiniak Construction in Norwalk. He had been a member of the Wellington Eagles and played on various golf and pool leagues in the area. Barry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Cleveland teams. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Peggy Howk; step children, Mark McGuire, of Avon Lake and Cathy (Chris) Aviles, of Huntington; grandchildren, Matthew, Meghan, Callee, Alaina, Cori, Ashlee, and Cat; great-grandchildren, Lucais, Ashlynne, Ciara, and Carson; and siblings, Mick (Yeti) Howk, Barb McQuaid, and Brian (Elaine) Howk; nieces, Missy, Krista, Jennifer, Michelle, Jessica, Elliana and nephews; Scott, Evan, Jeremy, Brian Jr., Matthew, Vincent, Nathaniel, Cameron, and Elijah.  In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by a sister, Pam.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 8th from 6-8 pm at the Wellington Reservation, 535 Jones Road, Wellington, Ohio 44090. Barry gave the gift of life through organ donation with LifeBanc. Condolences can be given at: www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
