Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Jenkins, 66, of New London, died Saturday, February 1, 2025, under the care of Stein Hospice in Sandusky. Born on December 15, 1958 in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Charles and Evelyn (nee Knott) Jenkins. Benjamin lived most of his life in the New London area.

Following graduation, he enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. Ben worked for Horvath Construction as well as Mel Yoder Home Improvements. He enjoyed working with his hands, tinkering with cars and woodworking, and making models. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working in his garden.

Survivors include his Children, Brandon Jenkins, Amber Jenkins, Brooke Weinheimer, and Dustin Jenkins, all of Clyde; grandchildren, Aliyah Hill, Maci Harrell, Madalyn Harrell, Aiden Weinheimer, Charlotte Weinheimer, and Lilly Jenkins; great granddaughter, Willow Renae; Special friend, Shannon Harris; siblings Barb Krick, Paul Jenkins, Geri Jackson, Kay Draper, and Rosemary Slone. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his siblings, Carol Jenkins, Bonnie Hindle, Chuck Jenkins, and William Scott.
