EASTMAN FUNERAL HOME 419-929-3781 Benjamin Sherwood, age 92, of New London, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home. He was born October 29, 1924 in Collins, Ohio, son of the late Oliver and Elva (Jones) Sherwood. Benjamin served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 - 1947. He was a truck driver for the steel industry. Survived by his sons, Stephen (Joan) Sherwood of Weston, Ohio and Sterling Sherwood of New London; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Joyce E. Sherwood in 2010, his parents and siblings. There will be no services. Private burial will be held at a later date. Eastman Funeral Home, New London assisted the family with arrangements.
