Benny Blanton, 63, of Shiloh, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born December 28, 1953 and lived most of his life in rural Shiloh. Benny graduated from Plymouth High School in 1972. He was an owner / operator in trucking. Benny enjoyed carpentry, woodworking and farming. He loved working. He is survived by his mother, Earnia Blanton of Shiloh; son, Jason (Megan) Blanton of Greenwich; daughter, Nadine (Dakotah) Strickland of Greenwich; grandchildren, Dylan, Dalton, Dakota and Dixon Blanton, Jayden and Jaxson Strickland; brother, Craig (Kathy) Blanton of Columbus; aunts, Pearl Wilshire and Carrie Click and uncle, Jaywill Phillips. Benny was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Blanton. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Eastman Funeral Home in Greenwich where a service will be held Friday at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
