Bernice E. McCoy, 80, of Wellington, died after a short illness on Wednesday, August 31, 2010 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph. A daughter of the late Percy John Lee and Ivan Marie (nee Martin) Mohrman, Bernice was born on November 22, 1929. Bernice spent her days as a loving mother and wife. Her hobbies included reading and doing puzzle books and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed working outdoors, doing yard work and tending her animals. She leaves behind her children, Roger A. McCoy of Wellington, Anna M. (Dan) Reep and Virginia M. Hicks, all of Wakeman; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Bernice is also survived by her sisters, Gladys (Harry) Rowland of Rochester and Joan (Frank) Scott of Wellington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Garland E. McCoy in and her sister, Marjorie Reising, both in 2005. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, September 3 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Pastor Chris Reutepohler will officiate and interment will follow at Penfield Cemetery. Memorial donations can be sent to New Life Hospice, 5225 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
