Amherst, Ohio – Betty J. Christman, 86, of Amherst, Ohio, and formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain, Ohio. She was born December 1, 1931, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert and Mary (O'Neal) Bruce. Betty resided in Norwalk, Ohio, from 1973 until moving to Amherst, Ohio, in 2014. She retired from Fanny Farmer Candy Company, and enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and going to Casino's. Betty is survived by her son, Larry (Ruthann) Christman of Amherst, Ohio, by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth DeWitt of Norwalk, Ohio. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Christman in 2015, by her son, Barry Christman in 2001, by a stillborn son, Gary Christman, by a stillborn daughter, Barbara Ann Christman, by her brother, Charles Bruce, and by her sister, Dolly Salatino.
