Betty J. (Franks) Winans, 81, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2024, at Fisher Titus Medical Center.  She was born on October 31, 1942, in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Vernon C. Franks and Katherine (Wells) Franks Miller.  She married Jimmie Lee Winans in 1995 and they were married for 23 years before his passing in 2019.

Betty enjoyed playing BINGO and helping with the Salvation Army Red Kettle program during Christmas while meeting many people.  She is survived by nephews and nieces, Rick (Debi) Yarber, Wylly (Sarah) Yarber, Mike Yarber, Sharon (Steve) Woodyard, Karen (John) Eastman; and brother in-law, Ronald N. Ingersoll.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Winans and sisters, Joan C. Yarber and Patricia Ingersoll.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, beginning at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, (Norwalk), 55 Whittlesey Ave., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.  Online expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting: www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
