Betty Caroline (Sousa) Robinson, 76, of New London, passed away peacefully December 5, 2013 at her home. Born on May 26, 1937, in Johnstown, PA, to the late James P. and Hazel (Baughman) Carrico. She enjoyed shopping, cats and playing bingo and the lottery. Betty was a loving mother and grandmother with a huge heart. Betty was dearly loved and she will be dearly missed by her family. Her children, Patricia Ann (Tim) Silcox, Christine K. Coey, Darrean Connie (Lucas Wolery) Murr, Donna Ree Sousa, Daniel David (Carlena) Sousa; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and brother, Frankie Carrico. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Sousa Sr.; son, John J. Sousa Jr.; daughter, Babealine Sousa; siblings, Joanne Carrico, Lois Old, Daniel Carrico, James P. Carrico and Edward Carrico; grandson, Jesse H. Wolery; granddaughter, Tammy K. Wolery and great grandson, Quinton David Denger. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London with Pastor Jeff Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery. Donations may be made to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home.
