Betty J. (Luther) Stefl, age 72, of Milan, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Briarfield of Milan after a lengthy illness. Betty was born June 10, 1935 in Springville, New York, daughter of the late Eugene and Myrtle (Widrig) Luther. She was a lifetime resident of New York state until she moved to Milan in 1996 to be closer to her grandchildren. Betty was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Clarksfield, Ohio. Her joy in life was learning about the Lord and sharing it with others. She loved to bake, do crafts and most of all spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kim (Stefl) and Terry Edler of New London; 2 grandchildren, Barry and Bailey Edler of New London; brothers, Kenneth Luther of Collins, New York, Calvin Luther of East Concord, New York, Richard Luther of Norridgewock, Maine; sisters, Darlene (Luther) Parsell of Collins, New York and Diane (Luther) DeNoon of Bradenton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stefl.
A memorial service will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Clarksfied, Ohio
at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2007 . Interment will follow at a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London were in charge of arrangements.
