Betty L. Weber, 90, of Grafton and formerly of Wellington, died Tuesday,
July 6, 2010 at her home. Betty was born to Fred and Valeska (nee Simon)
Christain on June 25, 1920 in Medina, where Betty also attended high
school.
For many years, Betty worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell. She
was a member of the First Congregational Church of Wellington. Betty
enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and playing rummy. She also loved
spending time with her family, her cat and her dog.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Laura (Chad) Glascoe of Grafton;
great grandsons, Tyler and Brandon Glascoe;
sister, Nadine (Adrian) Rooy of Medina; nieces, Cynthia Lett, Barbara
Allen, Susan Rooy Harr and a nephew, Richard Shaw. Betty was preceded in
death by her husband, Marshall Weber; daughter, Karen Weber Neil;
grandson, Michael Nash, and sister, Helen Shaw.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral
service on Thursday, July 8 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main
St., Wellington with Rev. Philip Kunz officiating. Burial will follow at
Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Betty can be sent to the Erie
