Bill Wireman, 74, of New London, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Laurels of New London. He was born September 22, 1941 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, to the late Charlie and Gracie (Baldridge) Wireman.
Bill loved God and attending church, he especially enjoyed taking his kids. He was a member of Ripley Chapel in Greenwich.
He will be remembered by many for his happy and upbeat attitude. Bill had a gift of cheering people up by using his funny wit and good sense of humor. He loved fishing, camping, CB radios, and listening to country, gospel and bluegrass music.
Bill is survived by his children, Linda Fry, Renae (Mike) Wade, David (Jackie) Wireman, Billie Jo Houghtlen, Peggy (Joseph) Shinski, Betsy Wireman, Charles Wireman, Sally Wireman and Chelsea (Ron) Kimble; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren and siblings, Evie Sanford, Ed Wireman, Della Kidd, Tom Wireman, Joyce Shippley, Ann Harlow, David Wireman, Jane Lowery, Sue Brock and Norman Bailey.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Ronda Wireman; many grandchildren; sisters, Charlene and Highley and brothers, Luther and Ray Bailey.
Visitation Monday, August 8, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Ripley Chapel, 4230 Old State Route
Willard where a service will be held Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. Rick Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. To help with funeral expenses memorial donations can be made to the family in care of the funeral home. www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
