Blanche Brown, age 97, of Greenwich, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home, Willard. She was born December 17, 1912 in Ashland County, daughter of the late John R. and Almina A. (Wiley) McConnell. Blanche was a 1931 graduate of Nova High School. She had lived in Greenwich since 1948. Blanche was a member of the Greenwich United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the former Greenwich Grange and was active in the Willard Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughter, Sally (Robert) Dupee of Wellington, her son, Lorin (Pat) Brown of Greenwich, daughter in law, Deb Brown of Greenwich; 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Brown in 1990, her son, Lawrence Brown, Jr. in 1995, her granddaughter, Shelly Dupee in 1988, her grandson, James Brown in 2006, sister, Florence Bowerize, 3 brothers, Harold, Ralph and Walter McConnell. Friends may call from Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to the Greenwich United Methodist Church, 18 E.
