Blanche Mildred Jones (nee Mohrman), 99, of Wellington, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Brethren Care Village in Ashland. Born on November 22, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Nellie (nee McConnell) Mohrman and Delton Mohrman. She was a 1937 graduate of Wellington High School. On Valentine's Day, 1940, Blanche married the love of her life, Edgar L. Jones. Blanche was a full time homemaker and partner in farming. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to make quilts, crochet bedspreads and tablecloths, and weave rugs for her family. She leaves behind her children, Jean (Kenneth) Brubaker Mattis, Janice (Robert) Haskins and Harriett Kay (Thomas Sr.) Reed; grandchildren; Carol (Michael) Fox, Judith (Doug) Biddinger, Amy (Stuart) Wyatt, Paul Haskins, and Kenneth (Kerstin) Bulcroft; step grandchildren, Kenneth R. (Katie) Mattis, Tina (James) Delambo and Thomas Jr. (Rebecca) Reed; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Edgar Jones; grandson Douglas A. Brubaker; brother John Leroy Mohrman; and son-in-law David Brubaker. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, February 18, from 2-4 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington, and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Stuart Wyatt will officiate and burial will follow at Penfield Cemetery.
