Blannie Irene Hamrick, 77, of Wellington, died Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. A daughter of the late Isaac and Ruth (nee Bullock) Hunley, Irene graduated from Spencer High School. She worked at Big Town in Elyria for several years. She loved gardening and working with her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Irene was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Wellington and enjoyed crafts and crocheting. Survivors include her sons, Lemuel Hambrick (wife: Tammie Vaughn Hambrick) and Gloy Bennett (wife: Evelyn Vaughn Bennett); grandchildren, Darryl Hambrick, Ashley (Hambrick) Seale, Daniel-Jacob Hambrick, Adam Bennett and Stacy Bennett and 5 great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Pauline Hunley. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16 at 11 a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church, 205 Woodland, Wellington. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
