Bobby Collins, 65, of New London, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness. He was born April 14, 1952 in New London, son of the late Edgar "Ted" and Mary A. (Leedy) Collins. Bobby was a lifelong resident of New London and a 1970 graduate of New London High School. He worked at several businesses in the area. Bobby was a member of the New London Eagles for many years. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, whom he had been with for 44 years, Becky (Church) Collins; sons, Andy (Angela Bellfy) Collins of Toledo and Sam Collins of New London; Bobby was "Pe-Paw" to his beloved grandson, Luke Collins; siblings, Annette M. Hamilton of Norwalk, Orville (Erika) Collins of West Virginia, Carlos Collins of New London, Phylistine (Bee) Shepherd of Plymouth, Eddie D. Collins of Huron, Larry (Cindy) Collins of New London and Phill (Cindy) Collins of Norwalk and uncle, Bill Collins of New London. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Eastman Funeral Home, New London where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor Timothy McCollum officiating.
