Obituary

Bobby J. Taylor, 78, of Clarksfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 18, 1940 in Minneapolis, North Carolina, son of the late Pansy Taylor and Jack Grindstaff. Bobby graduated from Cranberry High School in Elk Park, North Carolina and retired from Elyria Manufacturing. He was a member and past master of Gibson Lodge #301 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Wakeman and past high priest of Wakeman Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons of Ohio 177. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge in Norwalk. Bobby is survived by his loving children, Alisha (Tom) Sexton of Tennessee, Phillip Taylor of Willard, Ohio and Kyla (John) Guzell of North Ridgeville, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Lawrence Grindstaff, Bucky Taylor, Brenda Kay Sampson, Phyllis Grindstaff and David Grindstaff and daughter-in-law, Jacquelyn Panuto (Taylor) of Plymouth, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Karri Taylor and siblings, Billy Holtsclaw, Jimmy Holtsclaw, Christine "Tiny" Stout and Marie Grindstaff. The Taylor family will greet friends on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 11 am until the 1 pm service at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street in New London. Burial will follow in Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery.
