Bonnie Britt, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her Ruggles home on February 23, 2016. Born July 28, 1923 in Willis Branch, WV to the late Henry and Nova (nee Bowyer) Thomas, she later married William T Britt and they enjoyed nearly 50 years together before his passing in 1988. In 1953 Bonnie and William moved to Ohio and she had been in the area since then. Bonnie was an awesome mother and good Christian woman. She was extraordinary in the way that she would encourage others when they were there to encourage her. Bonnie was a prayer warrior who constantly placed other peoples' needs above her own. She would witness to anyone and everyone if she had an opportunity. She loved her family and cherished taking care of them. Bonnie will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to be enriched by her life. She was a member of the Church of God and had attended over the years Church of God churches in New London, North Ridgeville and Elyria. Survivors include her loving children, Norma (Jack) Bailey of North Ridgeville, Gail Donley of Ruggles, Shirley K. Britt of Ruggles, David (Linda) Britt of Ruggles, Sharon Britt of Ruggles, Lynn (James) Thompson of Alabama, Tom (Debbie) Britt of North Ridgeville; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Ruhl, Aretta Lilly and Shirley Ann Buckland In addition to her parents and late husband Bonnie was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters an infant son Billy and son in law James K. Donley. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at Eastman Funeral Home, New London Saturday, February 27th from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm with her grandson Pastor Chad Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park. Bonnie believed in many different charities and donors are welcome to make donations to the charity of their choice.
