Bonnie R. Runkle, 60, of New London, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at EHM. She was a life long resident of the New London. Bonnie graduated from New London High School in 1966. She worked for the former C.E. Ward Co. of New London, Fanny Farmer of Norwalk, Tidswell Popcorn and Kent Sporting Goods of New London. Bonnie enjoyed horses, sewing and collecting hummingbirds. She also enjoyed her children and grandchildren's activities including softball, horses and girl scouts. Survivors include her loving husband of 41 years Gerald Runkle, children, Bryon (Connie) Runkle of Greenwich, Tony (Renee) Runkle of Olena and Tami Jo (Michael) Chill of Greenwich; 4 grandchildren and stepbrother, Lyle Biddinger of Ashtabulah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul L. and Lucile S. (Krisha) Biddinger and brother, Charles Biddinger. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22nd at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London with a funeral service Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow at Fitchville Cemetery.
