October 30, 1957 – April 25, 2025
Brad L Mason encountered the warm embrace of his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 7:49 pm. Surrounding his hospital bed was his wife, two daughters, and his son in-laws. Brad was 67 years old.
He was born and raised in Norwalk, Ohio, graduated from Norwalk High School and played in the 1974 State Football Championship. Brad earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Wheaton College and Masters of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Seminary. His vision and entrepreneurial heart motivated his passion for ministry and businesses.
Brad met the love of his life, Carol Whitehurst on Long Island, NY and they were married for 41 years. They have two daughters, Kimberly Young married to Brian Young and Kristina Perna married to Kyle Perna. Their deceased son was Michael Bradley. A true family man at heart, Brad's most cherished times were family vacations. Earlier this year Brad enjoyed a week in the mountains with his 5 grandsons, one granddaughter and other family members. He spoke endlessly about the trip and left behind memories that his family will treasure for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lawanda Mason and his son, Michael Bradley Mason. He is survived by his wife, Carol A Mason, Huron, Ohio; his daughter, Kimberly Young (Brian) of Huron, Ohio; his daughter, Kristina Perna (Kyle) of Sylvania, Ohio; his sister, Rhonda Jones, Norwalk, Ohio; his brother's Kirk Mason (Linda), Sarasota, Florida and Brett Mason (Cheri), Whispering Pines, North Carolina. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be the following:
When: Saturday, May 3, 2025
Visitation: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Service: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Where: First Presbyterian Church, 225 Williams Street, Huron, Ohio.
Brad helped so many people in his counseling ministry, "Successful Relationships."
