Obituary

Brian Matthew Coder, 40, of Norwalk, Ohio, died on Saturday, December 17, 2022.  He was born on February 17, 1982, in Norwalk to Gerald Coder and Linda (Hofacker) Bell.  He was a 2000 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School and earned an Associates in Business and Accounting from Bowling Green State University.

With Brian around, nothing was ever broken for very long.  An amazing smart guy, he was a multi-talented, supportive and helpful individual, who loved his family, riding motorcycles, tinkering, welding, supporting his kids' activities, recycling, collecting boxes, and working on motors.  He had a penchant for giving loved one's nicknames and built many fond memories with trips to Montana and Yellowstone National Park.

Brian used his many talents and was an asset everywhere he had worked, most recently with HB Fuller.

Brian is survived by his loving wife Heather (Stang) Coder.  The two were high school sweethearts at separate schools, Heather at Monroeville and Brian at Norwalk St. Paul.  He is also survived by their children, Collin Michael Coder, Aiden Matthew Coder, and Jordan Joseph Coder, all of Norwalk; his father, Gerald "Larry" Coder of Norwalk; mother, Linda (John) Bell of Vermilion; brother, Sean (Shandra) Coder of Sandusky; grandparents, John and Therese Hofacker; in-laws, Rich and Tracy Stang of Norwalk and Mark and Pamela Demko of Garfield Heights as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dwight and Annie Coder and uncles, Jim and Wallie Coder.

Friends and family are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.  The funeral will be held the following day, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at The Chapel (Norwalk), 156 S. Norwalk Rd. East, Norwalk, Ohio beginning at 10 a.m. with Pastor Joe Binkley officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Brian's memory to Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation 175 S.
