Norwalk, Ohio - Bruce M. Milbrandt, 72, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 in Firelands Regional Hospital, Sandusky, Ohio. He was born July 31, 1946, in Bristol, Connecticut, to the late George M. and Frieda A. (Killian) Milbrandt. Bruce came to this area in 1988 from Bristol with General Motors Corp. He retired from General Motors, Sandusky, Ohio, in 2001. Bruce was a former employee of N.A.P.A. of Norwalk, Ohio, and was a former Norwalk City School crossing guard. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk, Ohio, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patty A. (Bard) Milbrandt of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Tina A. (Patrick) Rogers of Put in Bay, Ohio, Chad A. Milbrandt of Norwalk, Ohio, and by Rebecca (Justin) DeVaney of Parma, Ohio, whom he thought of as a daughter. Bruce is also survived by his grandchildren, Kaylee, Kaiden, Matthew, and Gabriel, by his brother, Dennis (Linda) Milbrandt of Salisbury, North Carolina, and by his sisters, Geraldine Arduini of Bristol, Connecticut, and Holly Cote of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jon, of Bristol, Connecticut. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private.
