Buddy Lewis Sparks, 79, of Sullivan, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. On January 19, 1936 Buddy was born to the late Oliver and Effie Sparks in Tazwell, Virginia. In the 1960s, he moved to Ohio and lived in Cleveland, North Ridgeville, and Rochester before settling in Sullivan.
Buddy proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. After 30 years, he retired from Ford Motor Company as a supervisor.
He enjoyed farming and taking care of animals. In his later years, Buddy enjoyed watching westerns on TV. A true family man and loving father, Buddy loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Misty Arcara, of Elyria, Christy Moitoret, of Cheyenne, WY, Kimberly Such and Lisa Arcara, both of Elyria, Joseph Arcara, of Cleveland, and Robert Lenhart, of Chatham; and a brother, Arville Sparks, of TN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Edna; three brothers and a sister.
