C. Don McFadden, 79, of Sullivan died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at The Good Shepherd Home in Ashland. He was born on April 19, 1933 in Sullivan to the late Wayne and Leola Mae (nee McDaniels) McFadden. Don was a 1951 graduate of Sullivan High School. Don retired form General Industries in Elyria after 44 years. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles Aerie 2051. Don was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing all sorts of games including basketball, baseball and slowpitch softball. He also raced trotters. Don is survived by his wife Ardith, children Daniel (Anita) McFadden of Texas, David and Doug (Audrey) McFadden both of Sullivan, and Julie (Steve) Niewiadomski of Strongsville, grandchildren Megan, Lindsay (Bobby) and Jared, and great grandchildren Brooke and Kyla Posatiere. He is also survived by is his sister Betty Woodburn of Ashland. Don was preceded in death by two sisters Eloise Swope and Marge Williams. Friends and family will be received Saturday, December 29 from 3-5 p.m. with services beginning at 5 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.
