Calvin Asa Foote, 91, of New London, died on February 22, 2024 surrounded by his family. Calvin was the youngest of 16 children and was born in Pritchardville, SC on March 29, 1932 to the late Charles and Eleanor (née Smith) Foote. He attended Cuyahoga Heights High School.

Proudly self-employed, Calvin owned Cal's Sink Tops fabricating custom Formica countertops. Cal was a member of the Lorain County Sheriff's Auxiliary for 14 years.

Cal enjoyed woodworking and could always be found building and working with his hands. He also loved gardening and camping. Cal and Bev also loved their many dogs they raised over the years.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of almost 74 years, Beverly (née Sanzo) Foote; children, Cheryl Ellingsworth, of Elyria, Joseph (Sharon) Foote, of Elyria, Donna (Michael) Fahler, of Wellington, and Christopher (Debra) Foote, of Berlin Heights; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and sister, Margaret Allen of Brooklyn Heights. In addition to his parents, Cal was preceded in death by 14 siblings and his son-in-law, Vern Ellingsworth.

Cal will be buried at his family cemetery, Foote Cemetery. A Celebration of Life is planned for April at the Wellington First United Methodist Church.
